Having an Herbaceous Summer

My little pots of herbs make me happy! This year I have basil, mint and lavender. I will mix the fresh herbs in all kinds of foods and drink. Any suggestions?

Basil is wonderful in so many things! Ever make pesto? Mmmmm.... Chop basil up and sprinkle it over fresh tomatoes, with or without feta or fresh mozzarella and stale rustic bread.

Mint makes great tea, and is part of my favorite salad (cucumber, mint, feta, vinegar and oil)

I've never cooked with lavender, but I know the French do, so looking at culinary lavender might give you some great resources.

Your herbs look great!
