I saw this recipe on the side of a pack of tortilla strips and thought I’d give it a try. It’s really very good and different. I plan to make it for our next family party in September!



You will need one large, ripe tomato, diced. Eight medium tomatillos, husked, rinsed and chopped. One quarter cup of green bell pepper, minced. One half teaspoon minced onion. One tablespoon grated lime peel. One tablespoon lime juice.

Mix all the ingredients together in a glass or plastic bowl. Cover and refrigerate. Serve with sour cream and chips.
